PHerc0343 whole-scroll unroll, ufsm coarse-to-fine (c2f), 2026-10-31

Scan: PHerc0343/20250521140437-8.640um-1.2m-116keV-masked.zarr (8.640 um). Supersedes the 10-28 corpus run (volcomp/PHerc0343/representations/ufsm-c2f-20261028, left in place).

Method: wind96 network fields (phase, normals, density) -> global count-field reference model -> slab fits snapped to the
reference (fit-fix build, ufsm master ad6198f) -> fit-join -> per-wrap surfaces (ufsm wraps, --min-cm2 0.5) -> one continuous spiral strip (ufsm strip
--last 194) -> strip-flatten (chunked SLIM + blend) -> render (CT + ift3-24000 ink, holes filled along the normal and
inpainted) -> strip-mosaic.

Scores (pod logs, tsv/):
  join: integer agreement on the slab overlaps 0.814
  wrap-check: CT papyrus peaks per fitted turn 0.847 overall (1 = right); 0.63 at 0-1 mm, 0.92-0.86 from 1 to 14 mm, 0.85-0.76 from 14 to 23 mm, 0.54-0.74 beyond (the fit counts somewhat more turns than the CT shows sheets); verdicts 160 real, 18 dup, 0 merged.
  Outer-end duplicate wraps dropped: wrap-check flags w195-w212 as duplicated outer turns, so the strip stops at w194 (--last 194) and wraps/ holds w036-w194 only (outer wraps past w194 are left out).
  strip: 159 wraps w194 -> w036 (outermost first), 412103 x 3329 vertices, flattened 1228.8 cm x 14.2 cm, mesh area 15262 cm2, aniso p50/p95 1.07/1.27, flips 0.039% of area
  renders: 24 stripes at 8.64 um/px, valid 15050 cm2 with fill, on papyrus (CT >= 80 within 3x3 px) 0.807
