PHerc1299 whole-scroll unroll, ufsm coarse-to-fine (c2f), 2026-10-31

Supersedes volcomp/PHerc1299/segments/ufsm-c2f-20261030 (left in place): same wind96 fields and global count-field
reference, slab fits re-run with the fit-fix build (3b40993, fit --phase-gate with --ref-snap 1; master 2c54b28 adds only
device-OOM guards), then join, wrap-check, wraps, strip, flatten and filled renders redone.

Method: wind96 network fields at 9.596 um (phase, normals, density) -> global count-field reference model -> 97 slab fits
snapped to the reference -> fit-join -> per-wrap surfaces (ufsm wraps, --min-cm2 0.5) -> one continuous spiral strip
(ufsm strip, wraps joined at the theta cut) -> strip-flatten (chunked SLIM + blend) -> render (CT + ift3-24000 ink, holes
filled along the normal and inpainted) -> strip-mosaic.

Scores (pod logs, tsv/):
  join: integer agreement on the slab overlaps 0.882 (10-30 run: 0.695)
  wrap-check: CT papyrus peaks per fitted turn 0.970 overall (1 = right); per radius 0.63 (0-1 mm), 0.88-0.99 (1-5 mm),
    1.10-1.25 (5-13 mm, fit under-counts the CT a little there), 0.84-1.04 (13-20 mm); verdicts 71 real, 5 dup, 0 merged.
    w125-w129 are flagged as possible duplicates; they sit in the outer middle, not at the outer end, and are kept.
    No outer-end duplicate wraps were found, so none were dropped.
  wraps: 88 wraps w054-w141 written (23 wraps under 0.5 cm2 not written)
  strip: 87 wraps w140 -> w054 (outermost first), 93174 x 1489 vertices, flattened 433.7 cm x 12.0 cm,
    mesh area 2722 cm2, aniso p50/p95 1.04/1.43, flips 0.066% of area
  renders: 8 stripes at 9.6 um/px, valid 2831 cm2 with fill (2581 cm2 before fill),
    on papyrus (CT >= 80 within 3x3 px) 0.557 (0.561 before fill)
