PHerc1667 whole-scroll unroll, ufsm coarse-to-fine (c2f), 2026-10-31

PARTIAL QUALITY: the outer ~35-40% of the strip (the first 4-5 of the 10 overview rows) is mostly off-sheet (void with
sparse papyrus); the inner part is solid papyrus. On-papyrus share 0.391. The fit under-counts turns at 1-9 mm radius
(wrap-check 1.32 CT peaks per fitted turn overall). No redo is planned.

Scan: PHerc1667/20251217075048-2.399um-0.2m-78keV-masked.zarr, level 2 (9.596 um). Main run (not the _cal trial arm).
Supersedes the 10-28 corpus run (volcomp/PHerc1667/representations/ufsm-c2f-20261028, left in place).

Method: wind96 network fields (phase, normals, density) -> global count-field reference model -> slab fits snapped to the
reference (fit-fix build, ufsm master 2c54b28, which includes the 3b40993 phase gate) -> fit-join -> per-wrap surfaces
(ufsm wraps, --min-cm2 0.5) -> one continuous spiral strip (ufsm strip) -> strip-flatten (chunked SLIM + blend) -> render
(CT + ift3-24000 ink, holes filled along the normal and inpainted) -> strip-mosaic.

Scores (pod logs, tsv/):
  join: integer agreement on the slab overlaps 0.891
  wrap-check: CT papyrus peaks per fitted turn 1.318 overall (1 = right; > 1: the fit counts fewer turns than the CT
    shows sheets); 1.03 at 0-1 mm, 1.34-1.62 from 1 to 9 mm, 1.11 at 9-10 mm, 0.92-0.58 from 10 to 14 mm;
    verdicts 48 real, 9 dup, 2 merged (dup w-09, w-08, w042-w048; merged w026, w027).
  Outer-end duplicate wraps: none at the outer end, so none dropped. The strip uses w000-w065; wraps/ holds w000-w065
    (the 7 negative-id wraps near the core end are left out).
  strip: 66 wraps w065 -> w000 (outermost first), 111241 x 2081 vertices, flattened 307.6 cm x 9.0 cm, mesh area 1430 cm2,
    aniso p50/p95 1.04/1.14, flips 0.0055% of area
